Occasionally, Apple operating system updates can change how your device identifies itself on wireless networks. If your iPhone, iPad, Mac, or other Apple device was previously connected to the SAU Student Wi‑Fi network and suddenly cannot connect, you may need to adjust your Private Wi‑Fi Address setting.
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple Vision Pro
- Open Settings > Wi‑Fi.
- Tap the ⓘ (Info) button next to SAU Student Wi‑Fi.
- Locate Private Wi‑Fi Address.
- Select Off.
- On older versions of iOS/iPadOS, simply turn Private Wi‑Fi Address Off.
- Disconnect from the network and reconnect.
Note: Newer Apple devices may display options for Off, Fixed, or Rotating. For the SAU Student Wi‑Fi network, select Off if you experience connection issues. [support.apple.com], [support.apple.com]
