1. Go to https://office.com and press the circled "Sign In" button
1b. Your username will be your email address, and your password will be your SAU Network Password
- You may see that your login name goes from being your email address to your SAU Network ID (ex: jd0456789@sau.edu); your email address is still the same, this is just tied so that you can have one password across all platforms. Both usernames (doejane@sau.edu and jd0456789@sau.edu) would both work the same to login.
2. Once you sign in, you will reach the following landing page where you will want to click "Apps" (circled)
3. In the apps menu, you will find Outlook (red circle); the yellow circle provides visibility to more apps
4. After clicking Outlook, you have now made it to the web-Outlook page (See below)
5. (Optional) A more direct route to the Outlook webpage is the following link: https://outlook.office.com
Resetting Your Password:
Your O365 password is tied to Blackboard, Experience, and many other online SAU services. You can reset all of these passwords by following these instructions:
- Go to passwordreset.microsoftonline.com and enter your SAU email
- Fill out the CAPTCHA and click "Next"
- You'll be prompted to verify using one of your Multifactor Authentication methods. Choose one and click "Next"
- After verifying your identity, you'll be prompted to enter a new password. Passwords need to fit these criteria:
- A minimum of 12 characters
- An uppercase character (ABCD...)
- A lowercase character (wxyz...)
- A number (1234...)
- A special character or symbol (!@#$...)
- Then click "Next" and you're good to go! You can return to the top of this guide to complete your sign-in.
Some accounts need to sync with Microsoft 365 before they notice a password change. Please allow for up to 30 minutes between when you change your password and when you see these changes reflected on your other accounts.
